We have received notice that there will be a public meeting held on Saturday June 23rd, location and time were not disclosed but we will post as soon as we know! Check back for further details. Rumoured to be at Caygeon Lanes at 9:30am, we will post when it has been confirmed. Council MUST give us 20 days notice.

Get this information in the local newspapers as well. Some people do not have computers. a quarry was recently stopped outside of Toronto with help from one of the radio stations. Letters should also be written to the ministry.
Get this information in the local papers. Some people do not have computers. People should be encouraged to write to the ministry who approve these quarries. A sample letter could be posted to help with the wording. A quarry was recently stopped outside of Toronto with the help of a radio station. If you drive down Ledge Road you will see the destruction already done in preparation for the road. Lots of logging also being done on the property.
I would check with Caygeon Lanes before publicizing this meeting at their location as this is the Bikefest Weekend and Caygeon Lanes are heavily involved in that event.
Make sure you put notices in Kawartha Lakes This Week and The Promoter and Lakefield Herald.
There is notice going to Lakefield Harald, Promoter, Peterborough Examiner, The Post and Lindsay this Week. Too bad that council can't decide 100% on a Venue time and date for us to post at the moment. We will go through this process again when the meeting has been confirmed.
