We have recently learned about possible Graphite mining in the Bobcaygeon area. Valterra’s exploration was conducted in the vicinity of Bass Lake.

This area is primarily known for its tourist industry, beautiful lakes and an ever expanding retirement destination. When do we say enough is enough? Leave the beautiful place we call home alone!

The west side of Bass Lake has been savaged by mining and there are more quarries to come. Trouble is, there are only seven cottagers there and we don't have the numbers to fight. Some of the worst things happen in this province where no one can see them.
